Wisteria Courtyard

The Wisteria Courtyard at The Troutdale House is our most popular wedding ceremony site and honestly, it won’t take long for you to see why. Not only is it beautiful, but it is also functional and comfortable, thanks to its fully covered roof and four gas heaters. So no matter what time of year you choose to get married, we have you covered. 

As you enter the courtyard, you will be greeted by the stunning sight of a wooden arbor draped with gorgeous and mature wisteria vines, providing a natural and picturesque backdrop for any occasion. The wisteria plant starts to bloom with purple and white flowers at the end of April/ beginning of May. If you are looking for the wisteria to be in full bloom on your wedding day, your best bet is to get married around the third week of May (but don’t forget that nature has its own ideas, we, in no way constitute this as a promise of when the wisteria will bloom, this is just our best guesstimate, based on past experience). 

From the start of blooming, until the flowers fall off typically takes 4-5 weeks. Once they fall, then the leaves really start to come in, creating a lush green backdrop and plenty of shade for those summer months. 

As the sun sets and the night sky descends, the courtyard is transformed into a spectacular display of color and light. Colored LED lights twinkle and sparkle, adding a touch of magic and whimsy to the space. The combination of the warm, cozy glow of the café lights and the colorful, playful LED lights creates a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.
